dark patterns are trick or tactics that companies use to get you to do things that you don't intentionally want to do, like buying their products or playing their game. this has happened to me a couple times when i go on Instagram and an add appears telling me that I can't pass that level on the screen.i get challenged so i immediately want to prove them wrong, and so i play the game and fall right into their trap.

I liked the idea from Micheal, his questions about school moving forward instead of backward. I also liked the idea that Jasmine said, is life an illusion.

Syllogism is the simplest form of logical argument. it contains a major premise, a minor, and a conclusion. the premises has to support the conclusion for example  People have a resistance towards medical marijuana. it has been proven that weed has helped alot of people with diseases and other illnesses. why do people have such a hard time accepting this?

Steinbeck tries to see things in different perspectives. He says that conflict makes a interesting story.  People don't want absolute freedom, instead they want to have a choice. also there are two types of love, the first being " a selfish, mean, grasping, egotistical thing which uses love for self-importance" and the other being  the type of love that brings out the best in you, the kindness and consideration and respect and recognition of another person as unique and valuable. Foibles- bad traits maladaptive- bad adaptation

In todays lesson we talked about ethos,pathos, and logos. Each of these showed up in Martian Luther King Jr's speech.

the story i found was "the thing around your neck" by chimamanda ngozi adichie, i think it looks interesting because it sounds like its related to suicide which is a real life problem that catches my attention.

american literature is a writing that is creative, lasting and has meaning, also it contributes to america. i can contribute to this by doing my blog posts because that is a form of expressive writing.
